I know, it’s been a while since I wrote something for my blog. I sort of got tired of commenting on links and doing less “real writing” at the same time. So, when it looked like the servers for news.antville.org might have to die, it seemed like a good moment to take a break after seven years of blogging. I still “collect links” which you can find on this blog as a daily digest, but I rarely find the time to write any rants anymore. Since antville has been the godfather of what is known as the blogosphere by now it felt a little strange to leave it behind, but ever since then it’s not been very reliable. Time will tell what I’m gonna do with that space.
But I’m currently “blogging” over at ikono.tv. Check out ikonotv.blogspot.com for art related awesomeness. We’re currently preparing the big comeback over there.
I was in Australia again and it was very nice. Now I know all the gossip about the upcoming “Green lantern” film and also managed to get a little job on “Beneath Hill 60“, an aussie feature about WWI. They named one of the german officers after me. Don’t know whether that’s good or bad actually.
Right before that I was on tour with the mighty Propagandhi from Canada and helped out making teenagers scream and pogo around all over England, Italy, Germany and that lovely place with the bridge in Switzerland.
And a short time before that I was at the Art Dubai (which is in Dubai) to shoot some official filmmaterial for the fair itself. I produced, directed and ran around a lot, but I also had chocolate with real gold on top of it. There are pictures on my Facebook page to prove I’m not making this up (yeah, like Photoshop doesn’t exist, buddy!?)
I went to all the places you see on TV all the time and had coffee outside of the ski course in the desert. I saw some pretty weird things, folks, but I leave those stories for the next time we sit around a campfire with other people’s kids.
Unfortunately I could not be in Venice for the Biennale (because I was on the other side of the planet, in Australia, where I had to talk about WWI and look after a dog who likes to break wind here and there). So, i missed the big event starring Rirkrit and his arty friends explaining to everybody that disco is the new NOW.
I also finished working on two more Mangas for Carlsen Comics, but “Battleangel Alita” is still NOT a movie by James Cameron. Well, what can you do, maybe it’s better that way.
I’m currently working on two screenplays and “The Minato Chronicles”, a project which will be sort of blogbased or let’s say, it’s just me trying to get a book deal with a serialized format and be like totally 2.0 and all this. You can’t write a book without having a blog for the book nowadays anyway….
I’ll see you around.
